A cheerful freebie for the new year

Well, I'm still having inexplicable problems with PEDesign v.11, and in spite of many e-mails I can't seem to be able to get any replies from Brother to my anguished pleas for help. I suppose I'll have to be magnanimous and put it down to them being stressed by the current situation

But I've found an old design which will make a nice cheerful freebie. It's based on the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch decorative style, which I've always liked - maybe it will help us look forward to spring a little bit. It's for the 5x8 inch (130 x 180 mm) hoop, and it's quite simple - just seven colours and all embroidery with no appliqué. Its true that there are quite a few jumps in it, but as I keep saying, if a design has to jump, then it has to jump!

Mia, I see that you have already been advised that the file will not download from your link. I tried several times to no avail, this is a very pretty design and the colours are just great. Hope that you are well and enjoyed the festive season. Hopefully this virus will disappear this year and things will improve for everyone, and we can get back to normal.

Mia, thank you for the Penn Dutch Birds. I also love this file. For those wanting a different format that pes, you can convert it to your format using a free program Wilcom Truesize or My Editor or Embroidery-Tool-Shed. You can locate them by googling the names.

Thank you! I was able to download the design without any problem (used Safari on iPad). Those having difficulty might want to try a different browser. Oddly, I can’t see the image of the design. I can view the large image by clicking on the empty box, but the small one is blank.
